I'm finally coming back.
I've been a deviant member for two years and only ever uploaded four pictures. Now I've uploaded about 15 more that I've manipulated or made in Photoshop and am planning to make more.
Yes Aurora, I'll talk to you more. Maybe this can be our new Quizilla.
Lord knows I don't really talk to anyone on Youtube.
Anyone have ideas on what I could manip or make? I'm coming up blank, mainly because the pictures I make are for stories I write that no one would understand and which are already on Photobucket (as are all of the ones on here, but I use Photobucket as storage, not communication).
Also, spring break is passing WAY TO QUICKLY!! I spent the first half volunteering at the American Cancer Society (since I need 14 hours of community service for National Honor Society, something my mother encouraged). I was dreading it until I met a guy my age there who...amazingly...is becoming a good friend of mine. I was actually SAD I got to sleep in today.
That's a lie. I had to wake up early to go with my mom to get the car's oil changed. Took my homework (growls at English teacher who gave homework for break through a substitute! Wasn't even there and assigned homework. ARGH!) but was only able to analyze one poem. British lit is more boring that I though it'd be.
I'm excited, I found new music recently. The opening song ("Garab" by Rachid Taha) from Blood and Chocolate - which I had no idea what the title was and was NOT on the score...why I have no idea. Luckily someone on Amazon.com pointed me in the right direction through their review.
Also found more songs by Elis, Angtoria, Lunatica, and Sirenia, fantastic femme metal bands that aren't as famous as Nightwish or Within Temptation. I went to a website called SonicCathedral.com, which caters to femme metal listeners, and wrote down about 150 bands to look up. I'm halfway through my list, and now like/want to download songs by 25 more bands. I don't have room on my mp3 for that! Luckily (or not so lucky, depends on how you look at it) the artists are obscure enough that Limewire (yes, I use it) doesn't have them. They're still kick-ass though. My favorites (that so far I've only heard clips of songs from) are Katra, Eyes of Eden, Brave, Battlelore, Almora, and Amberian Dawn.
Any femme metal listeners out there that have bands they recommend? I also listen to Leaves' Eyes, Evanescence, Krypteria, Delain, Lacuna Coil, Echoes of Eternity, Auf Der Maur (old, I know, but she can rock!), Bloodflowerz, and Emilie Autumn (who is labelled victorian industrial, and I wish I could find more artists like her. Her songs are marvelous.)
